I told Geoff I wanted a knife to take to the beach so I could cut fish on a makeshift table on top of a cooler in the trunk of a Jeep (because this is inevitably what happens when I visit my family on Kauai). It can do that and everything in between. It’s pink like our palaka branding with red to denote the hibiscus I like to shove behind my ears.
10% of proceeds go to Paepae o he’eia because I’ve long admired what they’re doing to resurrect an ancient Hawaiian fish pond, originally constructed sometime between the 1200s and 1400s, thereby reviving almost lost methods of seafood cultivation (dear to my heart).
